Birthday Game Card

Hi Fellow Crafters,

It’s a new year, and I’m ready to get serious about some really fun projects.  I find it hard to think of fun and unique birthday cards for my older grandchildren. I was so excited when FSJ introduced a new stamp set called Birthday Game Card.  It comes with a circle with pie shapes and cute phrases on the slices.  They also offer spinners that can be used for the center section so that the card may be interactive.

I started with a piece of white whipped cream card stock and stamped the circle and cut it out.  I chose deco paper from our line of Be Amazing and cut a rectangle for one of the card layers along with one of the pie shapes.  I used paper from our neon color set to rest amp the circle and cut out various pie sections and arranged them on the white pie.

I chose neon papers in orange and lime for the card bases, and layered with white card stock and the deco card stock and finally the white pie.  I inserted the spinner and pointed it toward the birthday phrase.

I decided to create envelopes with some of the deco paper, and hopefully the bright colors will impress some of the older grandchildren.  This is a fun,  Birthday Game Card, to create as there are so many choices for coordinating colors and paper.

May Flowers Blog Hop

Welcome to our Fun Stampers Journey May Flowers,  Blog Hop! I’m so happy you’re hoppin’ along! If you arrived here from Charlene’s blog, you’re on the right track. If not, that’s ok too! Just continue the hop and you’ll come full circle!”

May is such an amazing month, as we watch the sun give warmth to the earth and the flowers burst forth in a blaze of colors.  It’s a time when some of us get out in the gardens to cultivate and manicure  the newly blossomed beauty.

I selected a cute print from our Spring Parade paper collection and tied the Cool Pool color through using it for the card base, image base and ribbon.  The coloring was done by using reinkers to fill in the pretty stamped image.  The image base, you might notice has a perforated border around the outer rim.  This is a trend you will find with the FSJ shape dies.  In this oval die, there is a perforated die to match each ring.  I love the effect it gives.  I love being able to create a card with such of variety of products that compliment each other so well in color.   Thanks for stopping by our May Flowers Blog Hop, and I’d love for you to leave a comment.

Nautical Handmade Card

Nautical Birthday Card

Hi Blogging Friends,

A Nautical Handmade Card is the perfect selection for a man who loves to be out in the boat.

It seemed to be the right time to create a guy themed birthday card, so I chose a nautical theme.   I love the new 6×6 paper pack that features this theme and selected a brown and blue stripe, as well as a blue/brown print paper.  I adhered these to a Buttercream card base.  The ship wheel was stamped on a Buttercream card base. using oatmeal fusion ink.  The sentiment was stamped with Denim blue fusion ink.  Nautical Card

I absolutely love our Envelope die.  It is perfect for A2 cards, and the die includes some cut outs for the flap area of the envelope.  I found a 12×12 paper that I thought went well with it and created the coordinating envelope.  So easy to do.

Welcome to our Fun Stampers Journey “April Showers” Blog Hop! I’m so happy you’re hoppin’ along! If you arrived here from Betsye’s blog, you’re on the right track. If not, that’s ok too! Just continue the hop and you’ll come full circle!

April Showers and puddles

My  card is a reflection of April in Florida, as we are used to getting showers frequently, and unexpectedly, many months of the year.  April is our significant month for rain, and it brings forth a beautiful array of greenery, and floral in so many wonderful  colors.  I love the sound of a soft rain, and find it very peaceful and relaxing.

I chose a pearlized paper to create my card design on and created a background by using the cool pool splash.  While that was drying I selected a clear vellum and brushed it with cool pool silk to create the puddle.  I like that is slightly see through,  and I placed the black and white boot slightly behind it.  I also die cut the umbrella with a printed paper and adhered with foam squares.  To give some bling and finish the card I added my favorite embellishment, rainbow drops.  I then added  it to the card base.

March Easter/Spring Theme Blog Hop

“Welcome to the Fun Stampers Journey, Pink Zebra Blooms Blog Hop!  I’m so happy to have you hoppin’ along!  If you arrived here from, you’re on the right track.  If not, that’s ok too!  Just continue the hop and you’ll come full circle!”

I love Springtime, so it was fun to think about spring, and all the beauty and blessings that come from this season.   Although the sunshine is wonderful, I also enjoy rainy days, with the sound of raindrops hitting the roof and windows, and smashing on the patio.  My first project is a card that might be one of encouragement with the raindrop theme.

Rainy Days

The card base is whipped cream, and lined with a print from our new Spring Parade collection, and then covered with Pretty Amethyst card stock.  I stamped the clouds with Riverstone, and then brushed ink to give a dark rain cloud appearance.  The umbrella, as well as the caption,  are inked on Spring Parade print paper using Blue Lagoon.  The rainbow drops give the perfect finishing touch for raindrops.  All products used are FSJ.

Supplies used;

Hello Puddles stamp set and die,  Spring Parade printed paper, Card stock (whipped cream, pretty amethyst), ink-RiverStone.

My second project is a sweet treat box for someone special.  I could definitely use this filled with jelly beans for a treat for a grandchild for Easter.  The treat box is pre cut by FSJ and assembled when needed.  I used the grass die, which I totally love, from the new spring debut.  I cut the grass in two shades of green, and then bordered the bottom with yellow grosgrain ribbon and added a bow.  On the top of the box I added a white square, stamped with a cute bunny in a wagon image.  It was colored with watercolor markers and a cute pom pom adorns the bunny tail.

Easter Treat Box

These treat boxes are so easy to put together, and can be used for any occasion.  All materials used were FSJ except the markers.
